Hey back again with BaliFabulous Frequently Asked Questions I hope what I answer is useful for you going forward, let’s go to the questions!
Is vacationing in Bali expensive?
Holidays to Bali are not expensive – Many people think that going on vacation to Bali is definitely expensive. Are these words the same as you are in your mind? It could be true but it could be wrong. This is from the way you vacation in Bali. Indeed, as one of the most popular tourist destinations and one of the best in the world, Bali has become a place that I can say a place that has an international standard, especially in Indonesia.
Because I have lived in Bali for a long time so I can say Bali is expensive, but not as expensive as you think. If you want to find out before going on vacation to Bali, I’m sure you can get costs for accommodation and holidays that are not too expensive and drain your pocket.
Indeed, one thing that has recently gotten better is flight tickets which are rather expensive when we compare going abroad. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get cheap plane tickets. Try to order plane tickets in advance, for example 2 or 3 months before selling you have already ordered the plane.
Lodging in Bali
If you stay in places like hotels in the BTDC Nusa Dua area (current ITDC) or at the Hard Rock Cafe, Nikko Resort, Discovery Kartika Plaza Hotel and several other star hotels, it is certain that your vacation costs will be very expensive. Service in places like that is definitely number one, so don’t be surprised.
For those of you who want to vacation in a backpacker style, you don’t need to worry, in my opinion a vacation to Bali can still reach very cheap costs. Only you have to get rid of the prestige and the sense of comfort like you stay in starred places. I want to give you a little picture, how come there are still places to stay with prices starting from Rp. 100,000.
One of the cheap places to stay in the Kuta area. As I said this is an estimate of the star level of the hotel. For those of you who don’t like the Kuta area, you can also look for places to stay in other places, it takes patience to look for it. My advice is to try to book places like this well in advance. You can get a much cheaper price and get a place to stay.
For those of you who go with a group or with several people, you can rent a villa. The rental fee will be shared equally with your friends. In my opinion, even though the rental fee is a bit more expensive than the rental price at the hotel, but with the facilities and facilities you will get it is much better to stay at a hotel.
Culinary and Places to Eat
Food in Bali is expensive. Yes, food in Bali is expensive if you eat in expensive restaurants and popular eating places. Believe it or not believe you can still eat with prices ranging from Rp. 5,000 silver to the price of food that can drain your wallet in just a few hours. So again it depends on how you want to eat and how you want to stay.
Indeed, everyone’s taste is different. I apologize. Especially for those who can eat pork, when they go to Bali, they will definitely hunt Balinese guling pork, because food like this is very difficult to find in other cities. In Bali, foods that contain 100% pork can be found in almost all of Bali. The prices can be very diverse.
For friends who are Muslim and other religions who cannot eat pork, take it easy. In Bali, there are also many halal foods that do not contain pork. In Bali, there are lots of Javanese stalls and other dishes that are halal, do not use meat, fish and do not contain pork at all. So you don’t have to worry about halal and cheap food.
Transportation in Bali
Traveling in Bali cannot be separated from transportation, your vacation trip will experience many mistakes and all the plans you have made will fall apart. You need to know, Bali is not the same as in other big cities. I also wonder why a very famous and well-known city in Bali does not have public transportation.
The first time I went to Bali to live and work, I still remember, I was amazed why there is no public transportation such as buses or public transportation? I’m not saying Bali has absolutely no means of public transportation. Bali has public transportation such as Damri (now no longer available) Sarbagita, and angkot. But and the punctuality I can say it doesn’t work at all. So I can say until today Bali doesn’t have public transportation even though it does exist.
